Trying on dresses, sampling cakes, and picking out a venue can all seem exciting but anyone who has planned a wedding will tell you that it’s not as easy as it seems. With months of hard work put into bringing everything together, it comes as no surprise that it can feel overwhelming. But let me let you in on a little secret – it doesn’t have to feel that way. Mindfulness rituals, in particular meditation, can make a huge difference in your everyday life. That’s why I want to give you the inside scope on what it is and how it can help you manage your stress levels leading up to the big day!

Why Meditation is Important

Meditation helps put things in perspective. Creating time for yourself to practice mindfulness allows you to reflect and become more aware of how your thoughts are driving your emotions and give you the tools you need to slow down. With only a few minutes a day you can reduce blood pressure, anxiety, prevent weight gain, and most importantly, get a good night’s rest.

How to Find the Right Space

Mindfulness rituals can be created from the comfort of your own home or anywhere in fact! While meditations can feel hard without active guidance, there’s no need to go to a meditation studio. There are plenty of resources online on platforms such as Youtube or even on apps like Calm and Headspace that give you access to some amazing instructors.

Finding the Time To Meditate

During all the hustle and bustle, it’s hard to press pause. But just like building a workout regime, meditation needs consistency to make a positive impact. It doesn’t have to take long, even a few minutes can make a world of a difference. While there is no right time to meditate, taking some time in the mornings will help you ground and center yourself for the day ahead.

How To Meditate

If you can breathe, you’re already halfway there! One simple meditation that anyone can do involves getting comfortable, setting a timer, and taking a deep breath in while thinking about one thing you’d like to attract and then letting it out along with anything negative holding you back. Keep this up for a few minutes and you’ve created a mindfulness practice!

Let’s Get Started

Have you ever tried meditating? Did you face any challenges when you started or was it easy to get a hang of? Comment down below and let’s help each other make wedding planning feel like a breeze!
