The Bridal Body Workout Guide

As your big day quickly approaches, you may find that your busy agenda is becoming a barrier between you and a healthy diet. If you are anything like me, stress is one of the biggest culprits for a slip-up in maintaining a nutritious diet. These slip-ups are usually caused by a lack of time to plan wholesome snacks and an inability to find healthy alternatives while on the go.

So Brides, how can you avoid messing up your hard work and ensure that you can maintain a healthy lifestyle even when constantly moving?

 Protein Power Balls

A protein power ball provides a clean and easy way to boost your daily protein intake and fuel you with healthy carbs. Power balls use oats to give you sustainable energy, almond butter for healthy fats that keep you feeling full, and protein that aids in muscle recovery.

All you need to make these protein power balls are listed below:

Basic Protein Powerballs

  • 1 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup flax seed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 scoops of protein powder

Are you not excited about making your own at home? That is fine too! We have already established that we are busy bees looking for an easy way to maintain a healthy diet. So check out these premade protein power balls you can add to your Amazon cart.

Protein Bars and Shakes

If you are looking for something higher in protein, I advise you to find a protein bar or protein shake that you enjoy. Increasing the amount of protein in your diet promotes muscle growth and helps maintain a toned figure.

Fun fact, the more muscle your body has, the more calories you naturally burn. This means that even in a dormant state, you can burn a higher rate of fat than you would with lower muscle mass. So if you seek a slimmer, more toned body shape, protein bars and shakes may be your new best friend!

Overnight Oats

Need something quick and easy to jump-start your morning? An overnight oat recipe may be for you! I find that overnight oats are a convenient way to fill me up and provide long-lasting energy into the afternoon.

Oatmeal is a nutritious breakfast or snack that provides your body with many benefits. Medical News Today wrote an article stating, “Oatmeal is a nutrient-rich food that contains many vitamins and minerals while being low in calories.”

To make overnight oats, you will need a jar or container, oats, flax seeds (optional), and a base liquid (water, almond milk, cashew milk, or oat milk). Combine these ingredients into your jar and seal tight. Allow them to sit overnight, and when you wake up from your nightly slumber, you will have a nutritional breakfast awaiting you!

Take Away

Finding healthy and quick snacks while dealing with the stress of wedding planning, work, and managing a social life doesn’t have to be complicated. First, evaluate your diet needs and use the tips listed above to keep your diet in check.
