Have you ever heard the alarm go off and felt like no time had passed since you turned off the lights? If you said yes, you’re not the only one! For the most part, getting a bad night of sleep usually starts to fade away as you get your morning routine going. However, like always, there’s a “but.” If you find yourself tired day in and day out, it may be a sign that you need to take a step back and reflect on what may be causing you to feel this way. Keep reading to learn more about what fatigue is and how you can boost your energy levels with 4 simple tips.

What is Fatigue

Whether it shows up as mental exhaustion or physical burnout, fatigue is a feeling that seems to stick around no matter what you do. But what causes it? It can honestly be a number of things, everything from not getting enough sleep, eating unhealthy, or not moving your body enough. Outside of feeling tired, if you can’t concentrate, are experiencing body aches, have a headache, or have noticed that your reflexes have slowed down, those can all be symptoms of fatigue.

Ways to Boost Your Energy

If you’re feeling sluggish and can’t seem to shake it off, here are a few simple changes you can make to get your energy levels up:

Fuel Your Body

Good nutritious meals are absolutely key to creating a healthy lifestyle. Try to move away from snacks loaded with sugar and unhealthy fats and replace them with foods that provide your body with the fuel it needs.

Keep Hydrated

Now, where’s that water bottle? Is it filled up to the top? No? It’s time to take a trip to the kitchen! Keeping hydrated is incredibly important for your body to recharge, keep your energy levels up and have a restful sleep.

Create a Workout Schedule

Working out is key, but too much exercise is not a good idea. Make sure you give your body proper time to rest between your workout sessions. To create a workout schedule that caters to your body and lifestyle, I always recommend reaching out to a women’s fitness coach like me for a program designed for you.

Close Your Eyes

This one may sound obvious but sometimes it’s the hardest one out of the bunch! If you find your mind is racing a million miles a second try journaling before bed, doing a light stretching session, or wearing an eye mask to decompress and get a good night’s sleep.

Shifting Gears

I’m here to help you every step of the way. If you’re looking for more information on wedding nutrition or women’s workout programs, you’ve come to the right place. I’m always happy to help and am only a message away! Book a free 15-minute strategy call so we can come up with a wedding fitness game plan for you!
