As a bridal personal trainer, I know firsthand how busy life can get, especially when you’re planning a wedding. Between work, appointments, and social events, it can be tough to find time to prioritize your health. But, if you have a fitness goal for your wedding, taking care of yourself now is more important than ever, especially as you approach your big day. That’s why I’ve put together this post with tips to help you stick to a healthy routine, even when you’re busy.
Meal prep is an excellent way to ensure that you’re eating healthy, even when you’re short on time. Take advantage of weekends or designated meal prep days to cook and portion out your meals for the week. This way, you can grab a healthy meal quickly without having to spend time cooking each day. You can also plan ahead and pack healthy protein-rich snacks to take with you on the go.
Incorporating exercise into your daily routine can be a challenge, but it’s worth it. (Reduced stress, more confidence? Yesss please!) Start by setting aside a specific time each day for exercise and stick to it. You can also break up your workout into smaller, manageable chunks. For example, you can do a quick 10-minute workout in the morning, a 10-minute workout during your lunch break, and a 20-minute walk in the evening. The key is to find a routine that works for you and make exercise a non-negotiable part of your day.
Stress can take a toll on your physical and mental health, and it’s important to find ways to reduce it, especially if you have a physical fitness goal of losing weight. This is because increased stress and low quality sleep can affect the results you see, even if you’re exercising and eating healthy. There are so many ways to reduce your stress on a daily basis though! Mindfulness practices like meditation, deep breathing, and yoga can help you manage stress and improve your overall well-being. You can try to fit in a few minutes of your favorite mindfulness practice each day, whether it’s first thing in the morning, during your lunch break, or before bed.
Technology can be a valuable tool when it comes to sticking to a healthy routine. There are plenty of apps and wearable devices (like the Oura Ring and Apple Watch!) that can help you track your progress and stay motivated. You can also start a STF wedding workout program and make new healthy recipes to keep things interesting. If you’re in Bridal Body Fitness, you can easily track your workouts and nutrition through the STF app. Utilizing technology can make it fun to stay on track and achieve your health and fitness goals. I love competing with myself by trying to walk 10,000 steps every day and closing all my rings on my Apple Watch.
Finally, surrounding yourself with a supportive network can make a significant impact on your health journey. This can include your fiancée, bridesmaids, family members, or a personal trainer who will encourage and support you along the way. You can also join our online fitness community where you can connect with other brides who have similar goals. Having a support system will help you stay motivated and on track, even when you’re busy.
It’s understandable that life can get in the way of a healthy routine, but it’s essential to make time for yourself. Remember, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to health and fitness. What works for one person may not work for another. So, don’t be hard on yourself if you slip up. The key is to be kind to your body and find what works best for you. By implementing the tips outlined in this post, you’ll be well on your way to feeling confident and beautiful on your wedding day. Embrace your body and celebrate the progress you make, no matter how small. The journey towards a healthier, happier you starts with taking that first step, so go ahead and take it!
